Children’s Privacy Policy

Children’s Privacy Policy

The www.rapidshot.com Website, mobile applications and related services (the “Services”) are operated by RapidShot North America, Inc., located at 11677 Chillicothe Rd. Unit 2, Chesterland, OH 44026 (“RapidShot”). RapidShot takes the private nature of children’s personal information very seriously. This Children’s Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose the personal information from your children when they use the Services. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by RapidShot through the Services. Please read this notice very carefully.

The Personal Information We Collect

We require consent from a parent or guardian before we collect the personal information from children under 13 years of age. Personal information is only collected from a child under thirteen years of age after a parent or guardian provided it to a facility operator. By choosing to use the service and agreeing to create an account for your child you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your child’s personal information as provided herein. Your child is not permitted to use the Services without your direct consent and guidance. We require that you assist your child in using the Services so that you may monitor the personal information that they are disclosing. During the registration process, you will be asked to input personal information about your child such as name, email address, gender, shooting preference, stick type, etc. and may be asked additional profile questions regarding their hockey experience and use of Services. RapidShot collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of your child’s interaction with RapidShot. Children can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

When your child uses RapidShot equipment, the Services will automatically collect and track information about your performance that will be linked to your child’s account.

If you believe your child may have submitted personal information to the Services without your permission or consent, please contact us via email at info@rapidshot.com and we will delete the information.

Website Access Information and Use of Cookies

Like most website operators, RapidShot collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. RapidShot’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how RapidShot’s visitors use its Services. From time to time, RapidShot may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its Website. RapidShot also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to the Website. For instance, RapidShot may monitor the Website to help identify spam.

Like many websites, the Website may use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. RapidShot may use cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of the Website, and their Website access preferences. Website visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the Website, with the drawback that certain features of Website may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Use and Disclosure of your Child’s Personal Information

RapidShot will use the personal information you or your child submit to us to provide your child full access and functionality of the Services. Accordingly, personal information may be used for the following purposes: (i) to provide and improve our services, features and content; (ii) to administer your use of our services and accounts; (iii) to enable users to enjoy and easily navigate the Services; (iv) to better understand your needs and interests; (v) to fulfill requests you may make; (vi) to personalize your experience; (vii) to provide you with announcements, notifications related to your use of the Services and other communications such as electronic newsletters, promotional e-mails or similar messaging; (viii) to provide service announcements; (ix) to protect against users seeking to hack into the Services; and (x) to assess the level of general interest in the Services and specific information included in the Services.

Except as provided elsewhere in this policy RapidShot will not disclose your child’s personal information to third parties outside of RapidShot and its service providers, affiliates, vendors and business partners unless RapidShot has the good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (i) cooperate with law enforcement authorities or comply with legal process served on RapidShot or the Services; (ii) protect the property and rights of RapidShot, its affiliates or a third party; (iii) protect the safety of the public or any person; (iv) prevent or stop any activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical, inappropriate or legally actionable; (v) complete, as permitted by law, a business sale, asset transfer, merger, acquisition or reorganization; or (vi) fix or debug problems with the Services, servers, software or service.

If RapidShot discloses your child’s personal information pursuant to one of the above-mentioned conditions, it will do so only to the extent necessary.
